Vision

To develop requisite skill and knowledge in diagnosing and managing surgical conditions and emergencies with Homoeopathic medicines, recognize situations which call for urgent and early treatment and make prompt referral of such patients after giving first aid or emergency treatment.

Mission

• Recognizing the role of surgery in practice of Homoeopathy.
• Conducting clinical examinations, eliciting and interpreting physical findings, X-rays and other investigations and diagnose surgical disorders and emergencies.
• Acquiring knowledge on common instruments for examination of a patient for diagnosis including ENT and Ophthalmology.
• Acquiring skills to diagnose surgical conditions and instituting pre and post -operative Homoeopathic medical care besides surgical intervention.
• Knowledge of pre-operative, operative and post-operative procedures by witnessing surgical procedures including physiotherapy measures.
• Eliciting the miasmatic background of surgical disorders and recognize the role of Homoeopathic treatment in pseudo-surgical and true surgical diseases.
• Developing a holistic approach in treatment and diagnosis.

Program Outcome

The undergraduate students in Homoeopathy should be able to:
PO1 provide homoeopathic service to the health issues of the society.
PO2 develop competencies in diagnosis and management of common health problems of the individual and community.
PO3 Practice promotive, preventive, curative and rehabilitative medicine in respect to the commonly encountered health problems.
PO4 appreciate the psycho-social, cultural, economic and environmental factors affecting health and diseases.
PO5 develop human attitude towards the discharging of one’s professional responsibilities ethically.
PO6 Develop interest in learning latest developments in homoeopathy and possess positive attitude for continued self-learning and to seek further expertise or to pursue research in any chosen area of medicine.
PO7 Familiarise with the basic factors which are essential for the implementation of the National Health Programmes.
PO8 Acquire basic management skill in the area of human resource, materials and resource management

  • SBT –Stimulation based learning to improve their practice and surgical skills.
  • Lecture halls – for gaining knowledge about surgery on the views of homoeopathy.
  • Instruments – hands on learning experience for students.
  • Mannequins – stimulate real life patient scenarios, allowing students to practice and improve their skills.
  • Asaripallam hospital posting – students will be posting there in yearly once 15days for gaining the clinical knowledge.
