Vision

It is to provide value based research oriented medical education in Homoeopathy aimed at moulding Homoeopaths capable of proficient and competent in patient care dedicated to the needy and the poor and to propagate Homoeopathy a safe ,simple, scientific, economic and effective medicine for all.

To provide quality medicine adhered to principles of homoeopathy in treatment .

III BHMS Students should be able to

CO1acquire skill in examination, diagnostic procedures and managements of benign and malignant conditions, trauma, infections and inflammations related with female genitalia, and premalignancy screening procedures.Skill

Program Outcome

At the end of BHMS program, a student is trained
A. To prepare expert , competent Homoeopathic physician who can serve the society through independent clinical services in Rural, Urban, Tribal areas.
B. Students shall acquire knowledge of Disease, knowledge of medicine and knowledge of application of medicinal knowledge to disease knowledge i.e., Homoeopathic therapeutics.
C. Students shall capable to ascertain the knowledge of Symptomatology, individualization, Susceptibility and shall strictly adhere to the fundamental principles of homoeopathy.
D. Students shall be able to take the detail case taking and shall analyze, evaluate the case in homoeopathic point of view to reach the proper similimum.
E. Students shall be able to have the knowledge about Miasm,Chronic disease, path physiology process etc.
F. The students should be able to develop such skill and attitude and remain constant adhere to his aims and objectives.
G. Should be able to have knowledge about medic legal cases, auxiliary mode of treatment, preventive measures etc.

Program Specific Outcomes

 At the end of Ist –BHMS course, student should be able to:

1. Demonstrate the knowledge of Human Anatomy and its different systems (structures) and their applied anatomy.
 2. Demonstrate the knowledge of Human Physiology and functions of different systems with their applied physiology.
3. Demonstrate necessary basic and practical knowledge & skills related to Homoeopathic Pharmacy in preparation of Homoeopathic medicines.

    Fetal skull and maternal pelvis are available for demonstration
    Various stages of pregnancy models are also available for demonstration purpose .
    Mannequin for breast examination is also available .
    Models of new born are also available .

  • More than 40 types of instruments are available in the museum .
  • Specimens related to various disease conditions are also available in the department .
  • Various models related with pregnancy are also available .
  • 4. DEPARTMENT LIBRARY:
    More than 50 books are available in the department library for reference purpose .
    Journals and CD’s are also available for reference.
    5.CLINICAL POSTING :
    Posting of students in Kanniyakumari Government medical college hospital for clinical knowledge.
    Students are also posted in various departments of Maria Homoeopathic medical college and hospital .
