In 2014, Maria Homoeopathic Medical Collegiate Hospital was established. The hospital has an 86-bed inpatient service and an 8-unit outpatient department. Additionally Special clinics such as Dermatology, Thyroid, Geriatrics, PCOD, Uterine Fibroid, Opthalmology, and Dental. It is NABH AYUSH Entry Level accredited and has all the basic diagnostic equipment needed, such as a Clinical laboratory, a recognized scan center, and an X-ray unit with AERB registration. On a daily average, there are 310 outpatient department visits and In-Patient Department with an average of is 55 nos. Through regular surveys and camps, the hospital meets the community’s health needs. Throughout the entire Kanniyakumari District, there are 12 Peripheral Health Centers.
In order to establish safe settings and so contribute to the welfare of society, the hospital routinely hosts awareness programs for patients and bystanders. It also conducts extension activities at schools and in the community. During epidemics, the hospital also organizes camps to provide preventive medications as needed. On all of the medically significant days of the year, the hospital regularly hosts camps both on and off campus.
